Fritz Hansen's Table Series includes the Superellipse™ and the Supercircular™; circular and rectangular tables designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen. The Superellipse™ table was inspired by the designer Piet Hein's solution to a traffic problem at Sergels Torg in Stockholm: a super elliptical roundabout.
The extendable Superellipse™ B620 table can be expanded from a neat table with space for six to a ten-seater for larger gatherings with no obvious 'head of the table'. The B620 table is adaptable for productive work or sharing good food with friends and family.
Arne Jacobsen
It is said that as a child growing up in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen painted over the Victorian wallpaper in his bedroom. But young Arne did not cover his walls with typical childish drawings or paint the ornate wallpaper boyish blue. Instead, he decided to paint his room entirely white. His decision may seem commonplace today, but in the early twentieth century white walls were not yet in fashion. From the very beginning, Arne Jacobsen was ahead of his time.
